MPSSA Netball

Today Miss Dickson took the Year 6 netball team to the MPSSA Tournament. There were 16 teams in the Year 6 competition and we came THIRD!

What an awesome effort from the team.

Term 3 Goals

In Week 1 we all worked really hard to write four goals for our learning. We follow the S.M.A.R.T goal guidelines to make sure they are specific, measurable, achievable, relevant and timely.

Term 3 Excitement

We're only a few days away from the start of Term 3 which is really exciting! In the first week we are going to be doing lots of writing about our class and our individual learning goals for the term. Stay tuned for posts about some of our learning goals.

Discovery Time

We were definitely using WOW when we were investigating.

Creating and Innovating

Today we had an amazing cake challenge to design a birthday cake that was bright and colourful!

We worked in teams of 4 with all of the same equipment and ingredients and it was really cool to see the different products at the end of the challenge.

We have some top bakers in the making!

Discovery Time

Today our Discovery Time was all about Thinking About Thinking.

Our activities included making straw boats, balancing our weight on paper cups, making 6 triangles with ten toothpicks and making a nest that can hold an egg.

W.A.L.T...Set S.M.A.R.T goals for our learning

1.Reading

This term my goal for reading is to move up from level 24 to 26. I will do this by retelling the story I was reading.

2. Writing

This term my goal for writing is to move up from  2B to 2P. I will do that by writing at home and using similes in my writing.
