Discovery Time

Today our Discovery Time was all about Thinking About Thinking.

Our activities included making straw boats, balancing our weight on paper cups, making 6 triangles with ten toothpicks and making a nest that can hold an egg.

1.Reading

This term my goal for reading is to move up from level 24 to 26. I will do this by retelling the story I was reading.

2. Writing

This term my goal for writing is to move up from  2B to 2P. I will do that by writing at home and using similes in my writing.

W.A.L.T...Set S.M.A.R.T goals for our learning

Reading:

My goal for Term Two in Reading is to move up from level 30 to level 31. I will do this by using some
of the strategies of F.A.C.E of a reader, especially retell.

Writing:

My goal for Term Two in Writing is to move up from level 3P to 3A. I will do this by using metaphors and semi-colons correctly.

Assembly

Last week we held a very successful assembly at school. Our whole class was on stage to perform a Sasa that we had created for our study of Samoa. To create the Sasa and learn the moves we had to be extremely persistent and make it right.

 This term my goal for reading is to move from level 29 to level 31. I will do this by always reading at home evey night for 15 min before I go to bed.
This term my goal for writing is to use  conjunctions.  I will do this by learning with the teacher.

Rhythm Interactive Show

Today we had the pleasure of going to the Rhythm Interactive Show and it was amazing! We had to listen very carefully to the instructors and pay close attention with our eyes.
